A Spanish house, an
Italian duchy, one thread.
A Spanish house that became Salentine — the Lopez y Royo, who held the land of Taurisano for three centuries. Ducali — of the dukes: a new name drawn from their title, made in the same country, in the same spirit.
Bartolomeo Lopez y Royo leaves Spain for the Kingdom of Naples, and settles in the Salento.
The barony is raised to a Duchy — the first Duca di Taurisano.
Diana and Lucrezia Lopez y Royo di Taurisano, daughters of the Duca di Taurisano, open a new chapter of the family story: Ducali, a casa tessile of their own, made by hand in the Salento.
